I wasn't always an avid painter, my first love affair with art began behind a film camera and in the darkroom. But when I did discover watercolors, I fell into an even deeper love affair than the first. Painting has since become an extension of my hand, and means for me to visually communicate my perception of my daily life, memories and travels.
My work is colorful, bold, playful and organic with a flair of whimsy. I find my inspiration from daily life, architecture, folk art, travel, food, children’s books, my son and nature. I am constantly experimenting with subject matter and techniques to continue to hone my craft and evolve my style.
